COOKIN' FOR KIDS BBQ BRISKET  and STEAK COOK-OFF, Saturday, May 15th at the Tri-Valley Community Center in Healy, Alaska.
All funds raised after meat cost will benefit KIDS IN MOTION, which is a non profit that creates and sponsors many activates to all ages in the Denali Borough, and beyond. They promote staying active and healthy. Some of the activities they sponsor, but not limited to are; Water Safety Program, Summer Sports Program, Healy Tech Team, Motion Sensors annual dance program that is open to all K-12th graders, and much more!!
*Open to anyone 18 years old or older and you do not have to be from Healy to enter!!. *Propane, charcoal, pellet, and electrical bbq's permitted. $75 entry fee for Brisket category and $50 entry fee for Rib eye category. You may participate in either category, or both if you would like . *Family friendly event! Kids games and contests(participate for a minimal donation) like a water melon eating contest, egg toss, bubble gum bubble contest, and more.
*We are asking any vendors that would like to set up a booth to please come. We are asking for a small donation of $10 to set up a table, which will go to Kids In Motion!
*We will have plates of brisket or steak, potato chips, and Cole slaw available(until gone)for a suggested $5 donation for kids, and $10 for adults.
*If you are interested please email me at selenajdixon@hotmail.com me. We are hoping to have people signed up by June 1st. If you know you will participate for sure let me know, and I will be sending out the entry form with the rules, as soon as I know you want to participate. If it is raining we will use the inside of the CC for activities. You will need to bring your own grill, weather cover, table, and utensils. *Trophy and prizes awarded for top three winners!! Prizes for all the kiddo activities as well!
